The Forum of Mobility Centres

A network of 17 independent organisations covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, who offer professional, high quality information, advice and assessment to individuals who have a medical condition or are recovering from an accident or injury which may affect their ability to drive, access or egress a motor vehicle.  You can also access a number of useful information sheets on topics such as tax and insurance through to driving with a disability directly from the Forum website.

DVLA

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency is an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport (DfT). The Agency is accountable to the Secretary of State and Ministers and, through them, to Parliament and the public, for efficient and effective management of the Agency and its responsibilities. Our primary aims are to facilitate road safety and general law enforcement by maintaining registers of drivers and vehicles, and to collect vehicle excise duty (car tax)

Disability Action

The Motability scheme enables disabled people to use their government-funded mobility allowances to obtain a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter.

Alzheimers Society

A membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Disabled Living Foundation

Funding research which is focused on transforming lives.  The research has led to advances in the search for the cause of Parkinson's, improved medical and surgical treatments, better therapies and equipment.

Shopmobility

The National Federation of Shopmobility UK (NFSUK) is a UK registered Charity. It exists to support and promote its affiliated Schemes to existing and potential customers, and encourage the development of new Schemes. In addition NFSUK will do whatever it can to facilitate public access and offer related guidance and information.
